Not a great picture or anything, but this really shows off my new Sigma 15mm fisheye, which I bought to get wide-angle capability with my smaller-than-full-frame digital camera, but which provides a neat effect for really close-up views like this one.

Just stumbled across this site - and I've added a link on the right side of my page. This looks like a new group forming, and I think it's a good thing. Photographers benefit at least as much as any other group from collaboration and information sharing, so I'm glad to see a place where people can learn from one another and share ideas about photographing our wonderful city.

UPDATE: I figured it out - they're Hooded Mergansers. Not a bird I was previously familiar with, but I'm reasonably certain of the ID - better pictures located here.

Well, let's try this and see how it works. Over the weekend, I went to the Lincoln Park Zoo here in Chicago, and I got a few pictures. Here are the best ones.
